About Us

A1 Transport Services was started on the 13th May 1983 supplying Heavy Goods Vehicle Drivers to the haulage industry by Richard Thacker who continues to manage the business on a day to day basis. Since those early days A1 Transport has grown year on year and for many years now has also run its own haulage operation which includes both general and abnormal haulage. During 2009 A1 Transport Services purchased Peterborough Boat Haulage from Maurice Jackson adding yet another dimension to our business namely Boat Transport.
